I couldn’t help feeling sad when all-business bad guy Stringer Bell got his comeuppance on The Wire.
Poor Stringer’s gone, but actor Idris Elba is back on television, and this time he’s on the right side of the law playing Detective John Luther.
Honestly, it doesn’t matter to me if Idris is a playing hero or villain. I just love watching him.
Luther airs on BBC America Sunday nights at 10 pm/9 Central. If you’re like me and don’t have access to BBC America (and can’t wait until it comes out on DVD November 23rd), the series is available for download on iTunes.

**shivers** Love, love, love Idris as Stringer Bell. I even suffered through "Obsessed" and "The Losers" in order to see him. I get the BB and have been DVR'ing "Luther". Hope I'll get to watch in the near future.

Loved The Wire like no other television program. Stringer Bell was one of my favorite characters, as it was played by a great actor.
